This online privacy policy and terms and conditions is intended to describe how the Capital Area Sexual Assault Response Team and EVE Inc. collects, uses, and discloses any information gathered at sexualassaultresponse.com. By visiting this site, you agree to follow the terms and conditions of this policy. This policy may be updated periodically without prior notification and will be effective upon posting, you should review this policy to ensure you are in agreement with its terms each time you are visiting the site. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy, please consult with an advocate or refrain from using this site. Your right to confidentiality, privacy and security are very important to us. This policy is provided to explain the circumstances in which information may be collected on this site and how it could be used and what choices you have in disclosing any personal information. Please note that this policy only applies to this site and is not connected to any websites or organizations to which we may link or that may link to us.

Information You Provide to Us

“Personally identifiable information” is information that could reasonably be used to identify you, such as your email address. In general, visitors to this site may browse without needing to provide any information about themselves. However, there are a select few pages, such as within the Resources page, that give you the option to input your personal information (i.e., email address) to have the contents of that page shared with you for later use. You do not have to input your email address to be able to use the Resources page, it is intended to be a tool to provide survivors and their support persons with information on what services are available in the Greater Lansing area to those who know someone who has experienced a sexual assault or who have experienced a sexual assault themselves. If you do not feel that you can safely share your email address to have this information shared with you, we request that, for your own safety and anonymity, that you do not provide any such personally identifiable information when you use this site. Additionally, we will not capture any personally identifying information about you or your computer (including cookies), before or during your use of this site. This site does not provide an option to register an account through our site, you will not be asked to provide any personally identifying information in order to create any sort of account to use this site or access any contents included on this site. Other than as set forth in this policy, CASART and EVE Inc. (grant funder recipient) will not sell, trade or share any visitors’ personally identifiable information with anyone else, nor will we send emails on behalf of another organization to you if you do choose to provide your email address. If you have concerns about your safety or believe that someone may be monitoring your online presence, please contact an advocate to assist you in safety planning and please ensure that you delete any search history or cookies that your computer may collect from your online searches.

Protecting Your Privacy

This site is intended to act as an anonymous resource for those who are searching for more information on sexual violence or how to access resources or services following an assault. You will not be asked to provide your name, address, telephone number, or any other personally identifiable information at any time during your use of this site unless you choose to disclose your email address on the Resources page, in which case, your email address will be the only information you are asked to provide to be able to forward that information to you for future reference. You do have the option to return to the site at any time to review the resource information if you do not wish to provide your email address or do not feel that it is safe to do so.
